just needs to spend more time in patient room answering questions or explaining surgical procedure

I have already referred a friend and he has an appointment scheduled

OU Physicians Patient Nov 1, 2017

I like him very much. I had to stop him from leaving because I wanted to talk to him about pain relief. The provider knew I was in a great deal of pain, but did not OFFER solutions to help. I had to "beg" for pain meds. I am not a drug seeker, but have chronic back pain that needs to be addressed right now and not after MRI. In do not understand provider's reluctance to RX pain med short term except for the political environment or the tracking system.

OU Physicians Patient Oct 25, 2017

He did not give me the time of day. I saw him for 2 minutes then he left.

OU Physicians Patient Oct 23, 2017

Very very pleased!!!

OU Physicians Patient Oct 2, 2017

Dr Puckett performed surgery on my spine back in 2009 and any re-occurring problems I do not hesitate to return to him for my health care needs - highest quality of medical care and bed side manner is top notch and very compassionate in his delivery

OU Physicians Patient Sep 13, 2017

I said yes to surgery, but I can't find out many details about my surgery without scheduling it, mainly pricing. And there is a disconnect in insurance and anesthesia, I can't get an assurance that the anesthesiologist would be in network. I believe my life can be improved with this surgery, but to make a proper cost benefit analysis I need the pricing details.

OU Physicians Patient May 24, 2017

I nave seen Dr Puckett 2 times and I found him to be one of the best Doctor I have seen. He is attentive, caring and I have total confidence in him. I highly recommend him

OU Physicians Patient May 15, 2017

Care provider ordered an MRI. Until those results are in, next care steps are paused

OU Physicians Patient May 10, 2017

each person introduced themselves to me which demonstrates a conscious awareness of me as an individual, as opposed to some places where patients are a work product to be processed and released in the shortest amount of time and effort possible.

OU Physicians Patient May 8, 2017

Already recommended to friends

OU Physicians Patient Apr 17, 2017

OU Physicians Patient Apr 5, 2017

Everyone on the staff was nice.

OU Physicians Patient Nov 14, 2016

Dr. Puckett is a wonderful orthopedic back surgeon. He is not "knife happy." He wants to provide care for the patient that will be best for that INDIVIDUAL person. He has given me advice about how to care for my back issues and has given me Facet joint injections that have helped greatly when I absolutely needed them -- only two in the last 3.5 years. Yes, he is an excellent physician.

OU Physicians Patient Oct 17, 2016

very fine Doctor Who was understanding and personable

OU Physicians Patient Oct 12, 2016

I am very pleased with my doctor and all his staff. No problems with anyone.

OU Physicians Patient Oct 10, 2016

I have already recommended Dr. Puckett to family and friends with back surgical issues

OU Physicians Patient Sep 28, 2016

very good experience

OU Physicians Patient Sep 19, 2016

recommending will depend on the outcome of the treatment. the resident spent the most time with me, he made comments like, "these are not medications that we see". He did not seem to empathize with the symptoms nor behave like they made sense to him. He minimized my experience.

OU Physicians Patient Aug 29, 2016

Dr. Puckett is an amazing provider. He takes time to answer questions and concerns of my self and my husbands. He always makes the appointment enjoyable and not so clinical. I would recommend Dr. Puckett to any one I know.

OU Physicians Patient Aug 17, 2016

I went to my provider as a check up for scoliosis that I have had since adulthood. I've had concerns about long-term management as I grow older and plan to start a family and remain physically active. He was very quick to offer spinal injections after seeing an x-ray and then quickly left the room. My back is painful and it's something that I've dealt with for years, but I was hoping to find out more about my condition and the road that I face ahead and if there are ways that I can help my health through lifestyle changes, exercise, physical therapy. He did not ask me follow up questions and I had the feeling that just because my spine was to a severe enough degree to operate, that he really did not care about my well-being. I understand that healthcare is busy and stressful. I work within it on the pharmacy side and I see people get pushed through every day. A 5 minute conversation with my doctor about a condition that I will have throughout my life did not really ease my mind. I didn't appreciate just being told to schedule anesthetic injections for back pain as my only option for therapy.

OU Physicians Patient Aug 15, 2016

I would highly recommend all of the physicians at OU.

OU Physicians Patient Jun 20, 2016

Dr. Puckett is a great surgeon and I believed changed what my quality of life would have been had I not had the spinal surgery. He had met me once many years ago but when he talked to me in the surgery room I had confidence that he knew what he was doing and had my best interest and welfare at heart.

OU Physicians Patient Jun 13, 2016

He always had a great sense of humor and listened to my concerns

OU Physicians Patient Jun 1, 2016

I am having to have an MRI so I will be coming back after that.

OU Physicians Patient Mar 28, 2016

I would recommend doc Puckett to my friends and family

OU Physicians Patient Feb 8, 2016

Need to get my neck fixed so I can go back to wk. Since sugary in Aug I've been in pain .

OU Physicians Patient Jan 25, 2016

Was excellent --now hope to get on with it!

OU Physicians Patient Jan 11, 2016

Dr. Puckett did a great job! He is very personable and seems genuinely concerned about me feeling better. It seemed like he was in there a long time, although I know it was much shorter than I perceived. He sat down and visited and took a real interest in my concerns. He was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. He seemed sincerely in helping me feel better.

OU Physicians Patient Jan 6, 2016

It seems that having surgery right before Thanksgiving isn't the best time. I've had a terrible time getting to talk to my doctor. I've dealt more with the PA and interns, both in the hospital and the office. My husband and daughters have tried to communicate with the Doctor as well without much success. Through the holidays it has been difficult! My family has wanted me to go to an in house rehabilitation facility but nothing has been done. My daughter is going to talk to the nurse again about it.

OU Physicians Patient Jan 4, 2016

He is knowledgeable and understanding

OU Physicians Patient Nov 18, 2015

his office staff and Dr. Puckett worked together like a well oiled michine

OU Physicians Patient Nov 18, 2015

smirks when i talked about my pain. He acted like i was just looking for drugs or just completely didn't care. I came in to get a specialist opinion recommended by my general doctor. I asked if he wanted to see the mir that was taken on thurs. he said it he had known that i had one of those he wouldn't have taken X-rays. I told all his staff including they x-ray techs, his nurse and the pa that i had one on cd and they said i should wait to give it to the doctor. I told the doctor that i also had the radiology report and said he didn't need the results. He made his own decision. The radiology report was different than his accesment. They show that a have several problems with my back. He said i didn't have any back problems. I also had starting have serious problems with my left leg and am in extreme pain and i wanted to know if it was associated with the back problem. He just said that wasn't his specialty and that i need to consult someone else for that. then he told me i needed to see a neurologist for any other problems i might have. I didn't even know why or what they do. Before leaving his office he said his staff would make that appointment. I spoke with the nurse and she said she would be getting back with me soon. Still have not heard from them. I felt like he was treating me like someone just wanting drugs and he didn't really want to deal with me. He was not very professional. Not everyone wants drugs some of us really want to get fixed or help to figure out a plan to help with our problem, drug free. I have a real problem and the doctor that was supposed to give me a plan left me feeling stupid for wasting his time. I want my money bad because i can go other places and get insulted for free.

OU Physicians Patient Nov 9, 2015

Dr. Puckett is my mother's surgeon and is why I sought care from him due to our wonderful experiences with him. He is an amazing doctor!

OU Physicians Patient Sep 16, 2015

I have "RSD" and I do write that on the top of anything I need to file or provide them with , but it seems that no one read`s what is important to me , they do not ask for permission to touch m they just grab your hand and that does hurt ... but since I am just a number who cares ????

OU Physicians Patient Sep 9, 2015

all good

OU Physicians Patient Aug 26, 2015

I felt rushed through the entire visit. Very frustrating. When these surveys talk about the doc 'using words you could understand', I felt that Dr. Puckett 'dumbed down' the terminology he used during the exam and therefore, I feel that I did not get all the specific information I was hoping for regarding what caused this most recent spasmatic episode. (Unless this neck spasm was indeed caused by some extremely mild arthritis that he saw on the x-ray, which he did mention, but didn't concretely or entirely connect with this most recent neck pain.) He said this type of episode would happen again, but gave no explanation as to why. As soon as he left the exam room, I remembered a question and asked the nurse if he was 'still out there', but he did not come back in to answer the question himself, which felt more like I was on a conveyor belt type of care system. Not my favorite exam experience. I left with many questions still in my head and felt he did not want to take the time for me to process the information he gave me so that I could ask the resulting questions. I realize that I can call the office, but would much rather have a few more minutes face time in the office with him and not be rushed out.

OU Physicians Patient Aug 24, 2015

When a patient comes in and tells you they are in extreme pain you should at least give them SOMETHING. You can see from my xrays of my neck that SOMETHING is going on with my neck and back. I would have taken prednisone, SOMETHING, not even a heavy narcotic, but was told I would get nothing until my MRI was done 3-4 WEEKS LATER.

OU Physicians Patient Aug 19, 2015

I was x rayed several times, but never told what they showed.

OU Physicians Patient May 6, 2015

Patients always want more time ith their providers. I realize this is not possible as worked in health care ntil I retired. The time I received as a new patient was filled with the information I needed to be taken care of another physician and then advised to come back when that appointment is completed.

OU Physicians Patient Apr 29, 2015

Dr. was well prepared for details @ my condition. I was well satisfied with his service.
