About Douglas Rowles

Doug Rowles, MD, is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon with OU Health Physicians, specializing in sports medicine. In addition to surgical care, Dr. Rowles has a special interest in cartilage restoration, stem cell therapy, and platelet rich plasma therapy.

Dr. Rowles earned his medical degree from the F. Edward Hebert School of Medicine, Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, MD. He completed his internship in general surgery and residency in orthopedic surgery at the Naval Medical Center Portsmouth in Portsmouth, VA. Following residency training, he attended a sports medicine fellowship at the Methodist Sports Medicine Institute in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Dr. Rowles proudly served 24 years in the United States Navy. Douglas J Rowles, CDR (RET).
